About The Teacher

Hi,
   I'm Mrs. Gwen Bye. I have been a teacher for 24 years. My first six years
were teaching Kindergarten at Upper Little Caillou School.  I have spent the
last 18 years teaching here at St. Francis. I have degrees in both
Kindergarten and Lower Elementary Education and my love for children makes my
job very rewarding and also quite interesting.
   I believe it is a privilege to incorporate the values and teachings of
Jesus into the daily lives and lessons of my students.  I love teaching at St.
Francis where there is an atmosphere of love, family, tradition, and faith
between the faculty and students.  I'm looking forward to another inspiring 
year!

     Our theme for this school year is, "BE A DISCIPLE OF GOD".        
To be a disciple of God means being devoted to taking care of God's people.

     For myself as a teacher, that would be taking care of the students that
are placed in my care and those that I come in contact with. 
 
     For students, that would be to take care of other students in the
classroom and at school. 

     By using the talents and gifts that God has given to us all, our class
will be dedicated to being good examples of disciples of God.
