Dear Parents:
Welcome to St. Joseph K5! We are looking forward to a year full of learning.
Your child will amaze you with all the knowledge they will gain this year.
Phonics, Reading, Math, Spelling, Religion, Art and Science or Social Studies
are part of everyday in K5.
Your child is in "real school" now, even though we are still in the Village.
Your child will have homework three nights a week and will need to study every
night. This should not be stressful or take much time, but you should spend
about 10 - 20 minutes each night studying their phonics and sight words and
about 10 minutes on their homework. As a parent, you need to check their folder
every night to see their work and any notes that go home, this is very
important.
