Empty Bowl/Fill the Bowl Event
The Old Mandeville Empty Bowl/Fill the Bowl Event will be held at the Lake
House Restaurant on Sunday evening, November 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. Mandeville
Junior High Talented Art students, Art Club students and teachers have all
created bowls for this fundraiser for the Samaritan Center Food Bank. Soups,
gumbos, bisques, chili as well as restaurant specialties will be served for
the price of the bowl, $25. Old Mandeville restaurants and business members
will cook up their favorite hardy dishes.
ART CLUB
The members of the Art Club will meet after school twice a month on
Tuesdays. There will be a limited membership because of available space for
creating and storing projects. We still have space for more members right
now. Students may stop by my room for an application. Once the selection
process is complete, there will be a waiting list in case some students drop
out during the year. A parent permission slip will be necessary to complete
student membership in the Art Club. Some of the projects that will be
addressed in Art Club are: Art contest submissions; ongoing Art Portfolio
preparation;Poster creation fundamentals, etc.
