Students are responsible for copying homework from the homework board into
their planner every day. This is good practice and a life skill.
Math will include:
1. Every Day Counts
2. Groundworks (weekly in-class problem solving)
3. Continental Math (weekly take home problem solving)
4. Textbook lessons (there will be a quiz or test every Friday).
Math Textbook Online (this is not the exact publication we use but includes
the same skills)
1.Go to http://www.classzone.com
2.Select Math either for Middle
3.Select Louisiana under state.
4.Click on Go under Find Your Book.
5.Click on the appropriate textbook/course.
6.At the bottom of the screen, click on Online Book.
7.Click Continue on the “Online Book Copyright Notice” screen.
8.Under Returning Visitor, enter the following:
Username: student.stpsb
Password: textbooks
click Submit
9.The Online Book will come up on the next screen.

Read to succeed! Students should read 20 minutes nightly and study for all
subjects on a nightly basis.
Weekly spelling howework and vocabulary assignments will be assigned only if
the work is not completed in class. Spelling tests and vocabulary quizzes
will be every Thursday. Students should study throughout the week.
Spelling will include the 20 words from the unit.
For vocabulary quizzes, students are required to
1. Correctly spell the word
2. Know the part of speech of the word
3. Know the definition of the word (matching)
4. Recognize the synonyms of the word
