Mrs. Jennings: I was born and raised in Texas and graduated from Texas A&M
University in May, 1991. I began my teaching career in Bryan, Texas, teaching
first grade for four years before moving on to third grade for a year. Upon
changing schools, I then taught 4th grade for the next 13 years. My family
and I moved here from Ft. Worth in 2008, and I was fortunate to get a
position teaching 5th grade which is, by far, my favorite! This year will be
my twentieth year to teach. I have been married to my husband Stephen for 17
years and have two wonderful children, Abby who is a sophomore at MHS, &
Aidan who is a 7th grader at MJH. I look forward to a fantastic year with
your child!
Mrs. Vicknair: Being a native of New Orleans, I received my Bachelor of Arts
degree in Elementary Education in May, 1993 from Nicholls State University. I
was a second grade teacher for eight years in St. Charles Parish. During this
time, I began my graduate degree in School Counseling and Guidance. Upon
completion of my Master’s degree in May, 1998, I counseled individual
children, adolescents, and conducted small parent groups within the same
school district. I then seized an opportunity to move to Georgia to utilize
my school counseling abilities. I was a school counselor for seven years.
During this time, I also acquired my Gifted Certification. After much
consideration, my husband and I decided it was time to move back home. St.
Tammany Parish was my first and only choice to continue my career. So this
is my nineteenth year in education! Where has the time gone? I am very
excited to be teaching your child and look forward to working with you to
ensure your child’s success!
Learning should be a fun & rewarding experience! Every child has the
potential to be the best that he/she can be!
