How do I know when my child has homework?

Check your child's planner daily. Each child is given time in
class to copy their homework from the large class planner page into their own
planner. Help your child check off when work is done and write the date to
be ready for the next day.

How can I check my child's grades?

The school board has made our STI gradebook accessible to you
online. You will be able to view your child's grades from each subject using
the website, username, and password assigned to you. This information
was mailed to your home from the school board. The teachers do not have
access to this information.
information; therefore, you will need to contact the school board
if they
have not arrived or have been misplaced.

Other ways to keep up with your child's grades is to check the
grades each
week in the "graded papers folder." An interim will go
home during the
middle of the nine week period and a report card will go home at
the end of
each nine weeks.

Can my child

Your child can make up work from the day he/she was absent and
receive credit ONLY if the absence is excused. You and Your child have
two days, beginning the day that he/she returns, to bring in an excuse.
Making up the work and turning it in will be your child's responsibiliy.

Your child may receive make-up work upon request even if it was
not an excused absence; however, credit will not be given.

We strictly follow this school board policy, so please remember
to bring in those absent notes when you are out!
