Teaching is my third career. I majored in Social Work for my undergraduate
degree, and worked in that field until my first child was born. I spent many
years raising my son and daughter as a full time homemaker. In 1997, I
returned to the classroom to complete my Early Intervention coursework at
Southeastern. I am certified to teach children who qualify for Early
Intervention (Birth to 6). I taught young children at STARC for nine years
through their Early Intervention Program, and came to Whispering Forest in
2006. I love my job.
Our goal is for every child to gain skills every day. Some days are better
than others. Repetition is the key. We use a multi-sensory approach to
increase acquisition of skills for every student.
