5th - Spelling tests will be each Friday. One Friday it will be dictated. The next it will be color in the circle (practice for standardized testing in the spring) and dictated review words. The students will spell correctly the 20 vocabulary words on Friday, then have the vocabulary portion the following Friday. The vocabulary portion will consist of recognizing the correct spelling of chosen words, knowing the meanings of words, synonyms and antonyms of the words, and using the correct word within the context of a sentence. After 3 units are completed, there is a review unit. It is imperative that the student review daily for the vocabulary portion.
