FOUR DAYS
UNTIL SPRING BREAK
English:
Students are working on capitalization, punctuation and spelling in the
grammar book which assists with their sentence writing and proofreading
skills. They will complete practice pages in the Grammar Workbook. The fourth
nine weeks English exam will be on these grammar skills. They are also
constructing some creative poems including the color poem. The students
enjoyed learning about colors and their meanings last week. This Thursday
students will get a chance to work on their mystery stories in the computer
lab. Stories are not due until May 12th.
Reading:
Students are reading independently Flowers for Algernon and taking their first
quiz this week. They are also working on the vocabulary and comprehension
questions. In addition, students will attend the SJHS Career Fair Thursday
with over 20 confirmed exhibitors. This should be a very exciting event for
all the students at Slidell Jr. High School. Thanks to Mrs. Loughanne for
setting it upJ
