These last few days of school before exams ,the students will be completeing work on the Civil War through Chapters 15,16, & 17. Encourage you child to continue working to the end as necessary infomation for finishing the American History course and being ready for 8th grade will be presented.
A test on chapter 16 is planned for next week and a QOD test will also be given.
An exam review will be provided and should be thoroughly studied.
Exams are as follows:
5/16 5th hour
5/17 3rd and 6th
5/18 1st and 4th
5/19 2nd and 7th
Replacement cost for a "missing" American History book is $67.50.

Students will be studying Manifest Destiny by answering questions using the information in Chapter 12.
3/15 Questions from section 1 should be completed for homework .
3/16 Questions from section 1&2 ,due today by the end of class. Questions for section 3 should be finished for homework.

Students will be studying the role individual citizens and groups have played in major reform movements in the US (1800-1861)

The students will be completing the graphic organizer that was started last week on the Social Reform Movements. A test is scheduled for Thursday, March 31st.
Students should study using the graphic organizer and class notes. Study questions will be answered in class on Wed. (3/30).

Monday 10/11 Map of the 13 Original colonies due, also vocabulary due tomorrow.
Wed. 10/13 Vocabulary part 1 due . Discussion / notes. Start on Vocabulary part 2.
Thurs. 10/14 Vocabulary part 2 due Friday anything not finished in class finish for homework.

This week the students will continue working in Chapter 5, The Road to Independence.
Mon. Check part 2- vocabulary; Homework study questions 1-5
Tues. Quiz, finish study questions 6-10, class notes on the Sugar Act, Stamp Act,etc.
Wed. Copy study questions 6-10, all 10 questions due Thursday 10/21; Worksheet 5-1 classwork finish for homework if necessary.
Thurs. Collect study questions 1-10; work on wksts 5-2,5-3,5-4
Fri. Video, and questions on video on Boston Massacre
Test on Chapter 5 will at the end of next week. Study vocabulary Early there are 40 terms to learn along with the other material.

This week the students will complete any remaining notes pertaining to ch 5 the Road to Independence,and review for the test on Friday Nov.5.
Monday :worksheets 5-1,5-2,5-4 to be completed in class and turned in at the end of the hour.
Wednesday: finish notes
Thursday: graded papers returned and review for test. A handout of the study questions with correct answers were also given to each student.
Friday: TEST on Ch.5 Study the 40 vocabulary words, the 10 study questions, your notes and review the worksheets previously assigned.

his week the students will be working in Chapter 6, The American Revolution from 1776-1783.
11/8 The Boston Tea Party or Paul Revere's Ride picture is due at the end of class.
11/8 Read section 1 of chapter 6 and define the first 7 words.
11/9 The remainder of the vocabulary words will be defined in class,collected at the end of the hour.
The questions from the worksheet " Steps Leading to the Revolution" will be finished and checked.

1/3 & 1/4 Defining the first part of the vocabulary from chapter 7. This will be collected and checked on 1/4. Students should read chapter 7 to get the vocabulary in context.
