Weekly Narrative – Mrs. Leger 8th grade Earth Science

Students have been learning about our Earth-moon system (Ch. 23) and the
solar sytem (Ch. 24) in science. Though we are discussing the information
mostly in class, student may have to finish some of their notes for
homework. Students should be reviewing this new information daily at home.
This week students will have homework Tuesday, Feb. 15th, to finish their
inner planets notes. Students will also have homework on Thursday, Feb.
17th, to finish their outer planet notes. All of the information on the
inner and outer planets can be found in the science textbook.

It will take us a few days to review and discuss the planet characteristics
as well as discuss some current theories regarding possible life, current
NASA programs to further explore the outer planets. We will review these
facts on Friday and Monday.

Tuesday, students will learn about asteriods, comets, and meteoroids (Ch. 24
Sect 4). Students will have to finish their test review questions for
homework Tuesday night. We will spend Wednesday review concepts from Ch. 23 -
The Earth-Moon system and Ch. 24 - The solar system. Students will have
review vocabulary puzzle for homework Wednesday night. There will be a
formal test/assessment on Thursday, Feb. 24.
