This is my 12th year to teach and my fourth year at Slidell Jr. Before
teaching at Slidell Jr. I was a 1st and 5th grade teacher at Bonne Ecole. I
have had the pleasure of teaching some my students for the 2nd and 3rd time
in different grades. This year I am teaching two sections of 8th Grade Earth
Science Honors and four sections of 8th Grade Earth Science. I am the girls
Basketball Coach and I have helped with the Lego's Robotics Team at Bonne
Ecole. I am lucky to have one son, Eric, who went to Pope John Paul II High
School and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in
Hattiesburg, Mississippi in December, 2010. While working as an EMT, he has
just recently completed his year long course work to become a paramedic and
passed his national boards in Feburary, 2012.
The goal for all my students is to meet their needs and when necessary to
individualize their assignments to make them successful. I will provide
positive feedback at all times and make the learning environment one where a
student feels secure enough to make mistakes and at the same time, learn from
those mistakes to build on in the future.
