Spelling(6th grade): Pretest Thursday/Test Friday
This week students will spell words with tion ("shun").
Language (6th grade):
As we begin a new year, the students will will write an essay about their
resolution for the year, or about their life 10 years from now.
Reading (6th grade):
Students will research NEW YEARS traditions around the world and create a
brochure using the computer based on the information.
Math (6th grade):
This semester we will begin addition and subtraction of fractions with like
denominators - (finding simplest form)
SAINTS Math - Through our weekly Saints updates we have explored ratio,
fractions, percent, mean, median, mode, and Stem and Leaf Plots. GO SAINTS!!
"Everyday Math Counts"
Skills introduced thus far include: 3 dimensional figures, patterns, arrays,
fractions, decimals, percent, subtraction of money, and area/perimeter.
