My Brother has just retired from the US Air force and is currently stationed
in Hawaii. He did 3 tours in Iraq. My Sister is Mrs Johnson, she works at
Beckwith in the 5th Grade. I have another Sister that lives in Westport and a
brother in Florida. My Dad and step Mom live in Florida year round. My Mm and
step Dad live in Fall River.

My favorite place to be in the summer is this beach...

National Elks Web Site:
An Outstanding Teacher
"A teacher who greatly influenced my education was my middle school history
teacher, Mr. Tim Kelly. He taught eigth grade at Beckwith Middle School in
Rehoboth, Massachusetts and made the different topics in U.S. History come
alive by using innovative teaching techniques.

"From showing us School House Rock about the Preamble to playing eighteenth
century British naval war songs while dancing around the room with toy
warships, Mr. Kelly's teaching methods were comical and extremely effective.
He strove to help his students understand that history was not a collection
of
stories stored away in a dusty book, but instead a series of events,
involving
real people and results that still affect us today. Mr. Kelly has so much
passion and zeal for his teaching that it rubbed off on his students so that
they were always tuned into his classes. Just the fact that I can clearly
remember his lessons over four years later is a testament of his interesting
and stimulating teaching style.

"Mr. Kelly had a great respect for his students. For this reason, kids would
seek him out for advice or just to talk. His character and dignity for others
taught us just as much, if not more, than his classroom lectures. In a time
when positive role models were scarce, Mr. Kelly's passion for his job and
his
students inspired me to strive for excellence throughout my life. One never
knows where his/her inspiration will come from - maybe a book, an athlete or
parent. Other times it comes from the person who opens the world to you - a
teacher."

Mission For The Class

I feel the 8th grade is a very important year in preparation for the
transition into High School education. Two of the focuses (besides
curriculum)
of my program is instilling and enforcing pride and respect. My program is
designed to help my students develop or refine responsibility.
