I was born in Glendale, Queens in the state of New York and was raised in
Mineola on Long Island. Twenty three years ago I moved to Worcester,
Massachusetts where I live with my husband, 2 college age children, and 2
dogs named Kirby and Chandler.
One of my favorite hobbies is the improvisational art of SAORI weaving. I
continue to study this Japanese weaving technique under the guidance of a
wonderful SAORI teacher right here in Worcester.
For the last fourteen years I have worked for the Worcester Public
Schools. I have taught different grades but third grade is my absolute
favorite! I hope my students learn as much from me as I do from them.
I studied for a Masters Degree in Elementary Education at Clark University. I
also have a Bachelors Degree in English from Binghamton University. My
education and professional development has earned me rank of Masters Degree
+30.
A classroom should be a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. Teachers and
students together must co-create this safe and nurturing environment through
respect, cooperation, exploration, and discovery. Then learning can take
place in a meaningful and fun way.
