be "heaviest for their size" or most dense. This liquid would sink to the
bottom. Then we tested out our predictions! Finally, our notebook checks
continues as we finished up our clay and water labs.
Homework:

their size. Examples included a superball and a cottonball, a block of wood
and a block of lead, a stick and a leaf, as well as a baseball and a gourd.
We discussed the relationship between "heavy/light" for size and density.
Students than determined the density of a piece of clay. They then predicted
the density of 1/2 a piece and tested their predictions- some students were
VERY surprised at the results!
Homework:
Notebook check! Due Wedesday 10/14
