Can I make up or redo my test or quiz if I failed it?
If your score is less than 70, you may do the following: Meet with me for extra help and correct the problems. Complete extra problems of the type you originally got wrong. Submit those extra problems within 2 weeks of the original quiz date. Your score will then be adjusted to 70.Keep in mind the lowest quiz score (not test) will be dropped each term as long as you have taken 4 or more quizzes!Back to Top

Do you accept extra credit?
Usually that's a "NO." This is because students have become accustomed to taking quizzes/tests multiple times as opposed to learning how to study effectively and efficiently. Extra credit does not mean "instead of!" I would gladly accept extra credit from a student has completed all necessary work, given 100% effort during class, and would generally like to explore a concept more deeply (extra credit therefore means additional challenge). If a student is still struggling with a concept, he/she should seek extra help and extra practice; not extra credit.Back to Top
