Your child will need permission whenever he/she stays after.  Pick up time is 
4:00.  Permission slips are available in class.

Students will periodically be required to do their homework on the internet 
through the ASSISTments program (developed by WPI and Carnegie-Mellon)
The website is on my list of links.
PROCEDURES:
ASSISTments (see my links..."program developed by WPI")
1)  If you haven't signed up yet, do this first!
    www.assistments.org
    Click on Sign Up
    You'll be directed through some drop-down boxes.
    Fill in your own information
    Birthdate, etc.
    Make up a Password that you will remember
    Write down your Login and Password - bring to class.

2)  If you've already signed up, now you need to enroll in my class!
    
    Go to www.assistments.org
    Go to Login
    Type in your login and password
    Enroll in Class
    Choose Your Teacher...ME!
    Drop-down menu - Betsy Wood
    Go to your particular class: 6-2, 6-3, 7-4, 7-5, 7-6
         (Based on a Monday class setion)
    Now you're IN!!!  Your assignments will be accessible

FOR ONLINE TEXTS, WORKSHEETS, RESOURCES, ETC.......
ALL Students have been given User Names and Passwords as of September 20 
(both are case sensitive) to access their pearsonsuccessnet accounts. This is 
how students can access their textbooks and worksheets online. SEE BELOW - 
SCROLL DOWN

Go to my LINKS - click on PearsonSuccessNet.com
Type in your User Name and Password - they are case sensitive
When you see Worksheet Center - click on that
Scroll down to the MAC version.  Those pages should open on any type of 
computer!


For practice quizzes, tests, tutor, and other valuable resources, students 
can still go directly through phschool.com (and input the appropriate 
webcodes - see front of student textbooks, p. xxiii).

REMINDER...ONLINE HOMEWORK VIDEO TUTOR AVAILABLE FOR GRADES 6 & 7
PROCEDURES:
Go to www.phschool.com (see my links)
On their homepage, you'll see Course Content box.
    Click where is says >>Click Here
On the left side you'll see a list of subjects.  Click on Math.
Click where it says Textbook Companion Sites.
Look at the covers of textbooks (second row)
    Click on the PHMathematics 2004 edition
Click on Course 1 (grade 6) or Course 2 (grade 7)
The link at the top of the list says Homework Video Tutors
    It will then give you a list of chapters and lessons!

THIS IS A GREAT RESOURCE ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN ABSENT OR NEED A 
QUICK REVIEW RIGHT BEFORE A QUIZ OR TEST!
