FOR ALL CLASSES:
REMINDER: Homework is only to be completed in PENCIL! The exceptions are
when graphing, shading, highlighting, and signing papers (pen should be
used). If homework is completed in pen, you will need to recopy it before I
give you credit for it.
Erasable pen is still NOT A PENCIL!
If there is not enough space on an activity sheet to show your work, or you
are working from the textbook, you must attach a separate piece of scrap
paper where you have shown your work.
I generally DO NOT accept homework that is just a list of answers (unless it
is supposed to be MENTAL MATH). If you can't prove how you solved a problem,
how could I help you fix a mistake?
POLICY: I do a "spot check" of selected problems on the day the homework is
due. This is your chance to ask questions on anything you did not
understand. Please take advantage of this time.
If you attempted all the problems you were assigned, you receive full credit
for effort. If the homework is passed in one day late, it is 50%. Beyond
that it will be zero.
Habitual homework offenders (missing more than 3 homeworks in one term) will
get a phone call home, probably assigned detention, and will have no chance
at earning a "1" in effort on your report card.
Part of your understanding comes from trying to work the problems out on your
own without having me close by to constantly offer assistance.
