Other Information:
I am also a wife, mother, sister, and daughter! :) I have lived in
Sterling for almost 25 years. I live with my husband, Chip, our two kids,
Annika(20), a junior at Simmons College in Boston, and Jon (13), and our
goofy but lovable dogs, Ollie and Rosie. In my free-time, I enjoy spending
time with my family, antique shopping, reading, all kinds of crafts, and
eating ice cream!
I am very lucky to have a job that I love! I love working at Chocksett
and look forward to going to work everyday!

Effective Effort is a combination Hard Work and Strategies

In our classroom, we have a wonderful team of Paraprofessionals who
support the students both in and out of the classroom. Sandy Cunningham and
Jennifer Bourgeois work primarily with the sixth grade. Carol Stan works
primarily with the fifth grade. We are truly blessed to have such hard-
working, empathetic, resourceful, and intelligent women on our team!
Our mission is to encompass the whole child in the learning process. We
believe strongly in multi-sensory, process-orientated learning in order to
lead to true understanding. We also stress personal responsibility and help
your child to develop the tools he needs in order to become an independent
and successful learner.
We focus on learning "how to learn". Hard work alone is not always
enough. We will take time to discover our personal learning styles to see
how we each learn best. Using this information, we will develop many
strategies to best understand, learn, and remember what we have learned.
Tools for independence and learning strategies will be a big focus in
all of the Resource Room classes this year.
