I am a native of mid-Wales, and come from a family of teachers. After receiving my Bachelor's
Degree in French from the University of Sussex, England, I worked in London for a number of
years in the international travel industry. I trained as a teacher of English, then moved to the
United States twenty years ago where I pursued a Master's Degree in Education from Lesley
University.

This will be my 11th year at Cole School, teaching first and second grade, and now multi-
age (grades one and two combined). I enjoy watching the excitement of children learning. I love
to read, and to teach reading. Most exciting is when children discover a new interest and learn to
explore it to their heart's content through the world of books.

I now live in Ipswich with my husband and three children, dogs Max and Manny, and cat Grace.
My hobbies are walking in the woods and on the beach, horse-riding, reading of course, gardening,
and watching my children play sports year round!
