Occasionally, homework papers will come home in your child's plastic homework folder to extend the
learning that happened in the classroom to home. Homework is optional in kindergarten. You may
return the homework (done in PENCIL) to me if you wish to. Other than this, I would like to encourage
you to read to your child every day. Children benefit from having an adult read to them and love the
opportunity to begin reading to the adult when they are ready! It is important to make time for this.
Please check the back pack EVERY DAY to be sure you are getting the information you need. It is also
very important to be sure that your child has what they need each day in Kindergarten. A missing
snack, homework folder, note or lunch ticket can make or break a child's day at this age. Please help
them to be sure that they have what they need before they come back to school each day and where
everything is. Thank you for your support!
