on scale of 1 to 10. As a gauge:
10 = BEST BOOK EVER – TOTALLY
RECOMMEND IT
5=BOOK IS OKAY
1 = WORST BOOK EVER – DON’T READ IT.
There will be NO Formal Spelling lists
again this week. Instead, please plan time to work with your child on the
President Report AND Valentines. President Reports are due FRIDAY. Valentines
are due by Tuesday, February 14.
If Participating in Celebrate Reading
Calendar (January blue calendar) please submit this week.
SPELLING: NO FORMAL LISTS. Can go to
spellingcity.com and review any lists unit 1 to 13.

Fluency passage (Know

President Report and Valentines.
TUESDAY: Read
Fluency passage. ADD #42. President Report and Valentines.
WEDNESDAY:
Read Fluency Passage. ADD# 43. Pack LIBRARY book. President Report and
Valentines.
THURSDAY: Read
Fluency passage AND complete Comprehension on reverse. Read It, Draw It, Solve
It #29. This bulletin due tomorrow. President Report due tomorrow and
Valentines due by Tuesday .
Friday, WEEKEND
JOURNALS coming home. Please remember to read, write back, have your child read
what you wrote, then pack into backpack for Monday.

to the hour, half hour and quarter hour. **

sheet will be used, in part, to determine the homework report card grade. From the Boxford Schools Handbook Homework policy for Grade
2: “Students will usually be assigned homework 3 to 4 times per week. Assignments
should be limited to 15 to 20 minutes in length. Students are expected to read each night for 20 minutes
minimum in addition to the assigned homework. Continuous review of basic math facts is required.”
