Dear Parents,
Our Friday cuddle books have now changed to Friday reading reports. Each
Friday your child will bring home a "just right" book to read by themselves or
to you. After they enjoy reading their story they can complete the book
response page. Both the book and the response paper will be in a large
zip-lock bag with your child's name on it. The books they will bring home are
books that are fluent readers for them, therefore they will be able to
complete the response page with little help. If it seems like a long process
please break it into manageable portions. If you find your weekend was too
busy, no worries keep your book and finish the work on Monday night. I like
to have all books returned on Monday morning... Tuesday at the latest :)

Please Continue to remember....
Each student will have a home/ school folder. At the end of our school day
your child will organize their mail in this folder.
Please encourage them to take this folder out of their backpack daily for you
to look at.
Please check these papers for important school notices and
classroom updates.
It is very helpful if your child knows what they would like for lunch each
day. Lunch menus can be found on the Cole website.
Please label all items that are coming to school. Especially gloves and black
snow pants. We all seem to have black gloves and snow pants and often the
same boots!! Labeling makes our recess and dismissal time more organized.
We love to go out and often the ground can be wet and our feet get wet too!
Placing an extra pair, or two, of socks to change into is a great idea!!
