Homework

The students should do their homework independently and take pride in their
work. All work should be done in PENCIL and should be neat with their name and
date on each paper. They should do what they can in 15 or 20 minutes, and no
more than that. If they are having difficulty or require your assistance,
please write a note on the front of the homework so that I can help them the
next day. Homework papers will come home in your child's homework folder
Monday through Thursday to extend the learning from your child's classroom to
your home. Homework is never intended to be stressful but is to help support
our home to school connection with you and reinforce your child's learning
that day.

Most importantly, I would like to encourage you to read with your child for 20
minutes each afternoon or evening. Children benefit from having an adult read
to them and love the opportunity to read with an adult. Thank you for your
continued support!
