                            Allergies

There are students in our classroom with a severe allergy to eggs.
Exposure to eggs can result in a life threatening
reaction. Strict avoidance is the only way to prevent a severe allergic
reaction. A reaction may be brought on by consuming eggs.

In an effort to allow all students to participate fully in classroom
activities, we ask that you DO NOT SEND IN ANY FOODS with eggs for class
parties or field trips. Children may eat snacks with eggs in the classroom,
but not share the snacks. Each child eating a snack with eggs must wash off
his or her desk because students share desks during the day.

Because lunch is eaten in the cafeteria, your child may bring peanut
butter, nut and/or egg products for lunch. There is a designated table where
children sit who have food allergies.

We appreciate your support in this matter. If you have any questions,
please do not hesitate to contact the school.
