Most likely you will have about 50 minutes of homework each school night.
Long-term projects are assigned usually two to four weeks before their due dates.

What are the consequences for missing homework?

Homework is an important part of your child's learning process as it
reinforces what is learned in school each day and is often a part of class
discussion on the day that it is due. You will receive a note for your parents
to sign for each missing assignment. You will also have to complete the
assigned work during recess.

How can I keep track of my homework and other important information?

You will have time each day to write assignments and other important
information in your agenda book.

Homework assignments and announcements will also be posted on your classroom
website. However, we do expect your agenda to be updated daily as there may
be times that Miss Varley and/or Miss Leek may not be able to update their
webpage.

Do I need to bring a snack to school each day?

Yes, there will be a working snack each morning. We suggest healthy snacks
such as fruits, vegetables, yogurt, cheese, nuts etc. We understand the
importance of proper hydration as well as being environmentally friendly, so
please feel free to send your child in with a reusable bottle for water. They
can keep them with them in the classroom.
