Who will teach my classes?
Fifth grade is departmentalized. This means that Ms. Grimason will teach
all of the language arts (reading, writing, grammar) and social studies
classes, and Miss Leek will teach all of the math and science classes. Each
teacher will teach spelling and penmanship to her homeroom class.
--------------------------------------
Will I have homework every night?
You will have a reasonable amount of homework each school day. Long-term
projects are assigned usually two to four weeks before their due dates.
--------------------------------------
What are the consequences for missing homework?
Homework is an important part of your child’s learning process as it
reinforces what is learned in school each day and is often a part of class
discussion on the day that it is due. You will receive a note for your
parents to sign for each missing assignment. You will also have to complete
the assigned work during recess.
--------------------------------------
How can I keep track of my homework and other important information?
You will have time each day to write assignments and other important
information in your agenda book.
COMING SOON
Homework assignments and announcements also will be posted on Ms. Grimason's
and Miss Leek's web page daily.

Do I need to bring a snack to school each day?
Yes, there will be a working snack each morning. We suggest healthy snacks
such as fruits, vegetables, yogurt, cheese, nuts etc.
