Welcome to a new week!! Miss Leek and Miss Varley are going to try and keep
our webpage updated to keep everyone informed on what is going on in our
classrooms. Just in case we are unable to update our webpage make sure you
are writing in your agenda each night! :)
We are also going to be adding a link so you will be able order books
from Scholastic online. Make sure you check back on our page so you can order
online when it is up and running.

Make sure you are studying your spelling words from your spelling notebook.
The words are in your agenda. The words inside the spelling notebook are
going to be the ones you are tested on Friday!
*Please sit with your child on Mondays to make a plan for accomplishing
spelling homework in 3 nights.
*You should be reading at least 20 minutes each night in order to complete
your reading log!
In Social Studies, we are beginning our Explorers Unit.
In Science, we are studying life science. We are starting a project on
animal adaptations.
We are focusing multiplication in math. Your child may be showing you new
ways to multiply that are easier for them for now. While the traditional
algorithm is the most efficient way to multiply, the students are also being
introduced to the partial product method, as well as the distributive
property.
