Summer Reading Book Exchange

                                      June 2, 2010

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Students have been asking about the Book Exchange and so it is being held again this year to encourage summer reading.  Here’s how it works:

From June 3rd through June 11th:

·         Students may bring in a book or books that they enjoyed reading and would like to swap.  Please make sure the books are gently used, in good condition and appropriate for Grades K-6.

·         Up to three books may be exchanged.  Please fill out the form below and return it with the book(s) that you are swapping and/or donating.

·         Only three books may be exchanged per student but if you have extra books please send them in so that students who do not have books also have the chance to choose a book.  Any books left after the exchange will be added to our library or donated to the Plympton Library for their book sale.

During the week of June 14th:

·         Students will have an opportunity to select their book swap books from books that other students brought in.

·         If extra books are donated, students who were not able to bring in a book will be allowed to select a book from the exchange.  If for some reason you do not wish for your child to participate, please send me a note.

Happy Reading!

Mrs. O’Reilly, Library Media Specialist
