2010-2011 notes are being updated for 2011-2012 academic year. May 7th, 2012.
Dear Students,
This page is for your convenience. Scroll down to review past assignments. These assignments are pages in your autobiography.
We will continue to explore English Language Arts in the 21st Century - Past, Present, and Future through the essential question: Do we create a self or do we inherit a self? All assignments are designed to investigate, identify, define, demonstrate, draw reasonable conclusions, and explain the points-of-view of each 8th grade student in respect to English Language Arts in the 21st Century - Past, Present, and Future. We will use the essential question to guide our investigations, identifications, definitions, demonstrations, conclusions, and explanations. No one assignment can be taken out of the context of the complete body of work. Each assignment is like the facet of a diamond in that it illuminates one part of the whole. Wait patiently in hope-filled expectation and you will assemble your body of work.
The essential question is the basis for everything we have studied, written, viewed, and/or explored this year - remember this as you continue working on your revisions. Autobiographies will be bound beginning May 30th and completed no later than June 9th.
