$18, 202!!!!

That's how much we raised from our bidding wars during the 2013 PTO online auction!! Thank you to all who made this possible, especially our tireless Auction Chairs: Amanda Kuhl and Missy Marron! This fundraiser helps to fund enrichment program for our children throughout the year, including field trips, whole school programming, in-house classroom events and more. It also helps to fund teacher requests, leveled reading books, and new books for the library. Thank you for all your support!

If you still need to pick up your loot, please contact Amanda Kuhl at: 978-890-7211.

Upcoming PTO Meetings

Mark your calendars for the next 2 PTO Meetings: May 13 and June 10. We are starting to gear up for the 2013-14 year. This is a great time to come and see what we’re all about and give your input for future events! Meetings are held in the Teacher’s Room from 6 – 8pm. Looking forward to seeing you there!

The Sounds of Science

On May 31 Grades 3-5 will enjoy "The Sounds of Science." This traveling presentation from the Boston Museum of Science will use a range of dynamic experiments to teach students about energy, sound vibrations, and music. During the assembly "we’ll break the sound barrier, make a fiery sound wave, and silence an alarm clock using nothing at all. Strange instruments will abound, including one that harnesses the power of lightning to make music. This program is supported by a grant from the Essex Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
