How will I know if my child is eligible for Title I?

All students are formally considered for Title I services twice per year
(fall and January. Multiple assessments and data collection from classroom
teacher assist in determining eligibility at these times. On-going
assessment and observations could result in eligibility at other times during
the year. Parents and guardians will be notified of eligibilty through phone
calls and permission slips.

Can my child ever be "dropped" from Title I services?

If your child shows significant growth in his/her development of literacy
skills, your child will no longer be eligible to continue to receive Title I
support services at that time. We will continue to monitor his/her reading
progress to determine if services will be needed in the future.
