Please be aware that we will be sending home books with your children on a
regular basis. These texts have been read mulitple times during small group
instruction and we send them home so that they can "shine" for you as they
read aloud at home. Please take the time to listen to your child read these
texts and then sign their book journal, which lets us know they have
completed their assignment. Please make sure these books are returned to
school the NEXT day (or date noted in journal).
We have noticed that sometimes students aren't returning books, which limits
the number of texts we have available in our Guided Reading Library. Please
take a quick look around your home and send back any stragglers (no matter
how long they've been straggling!)
