This week we had the awesome book fair going on, sadly it ended on Friday morning.
On Friday morning we played Battleship with our treasure maps,it was great.

11/10-11/14
This week we were working on a play for our reading buddies.The play was about the rock cycle.This
Friday we can where a hat and get a sticker if we brought in one dollar to benefit cancer
research.We continued to work with play dough to picture landforms in Social Studies.In writing we
were working on our how to be a creature project.Also, in math we started a new unit on
multiplication.We estimated and regrouped to find the product.This week has been exciting and busy.
11/17-11/21
This week in math we had a test on multiplication.We all did a wonderful job!
In social studies we also had a test on landforms.The test had matching,open response,and extra
credit.Nobody wanted to take the test,but they all did fine.
Science this week was very exciting because we started using magnets!YIPEE!We found some interesting
discoveries.
Literacy was sad,embarrassed,excited,surprised,angry,and nervous moment.
Reading was mainly guided reading with the famous Mrs.Gilbert!!!!She always has something creative
to do!
In spelling Mrs.Gilbert gave us a class challenge to get all the spelling words correct and if we
did she would give us extra recess!We got all of them correct!We had a wonderful week!

In social studies this week we have been learning about Canada! Two provinces were handed out to
each student and we have collected lots of information by using the new rolling labs!!! In science
we have been learning about magnets.We did an experiment to learn more about the magnetic force.In
math we have been learning how to multiply two digit numbers by two digit numbers.In writing we
listed things we would find in an attic and things we would find in a candy store,which was really
fun. We will be writing descriptive paragraphs using these lists. In spelling we are working on
cursive. We also completed our homework chart which is a chart that we put a sticker on every day if
everyone turns in their homework. We picked to play globe volleyball with a huge globe Mrs.gilbert
has. As we were playing, the globe popped, so sadly we had to end our game. Instead of doing a
spelling test we played spelling baseball, it was a blast!

In social studies we are still learning about Canada we are working on our physical and political map. We only used the brand new rolling lab on
Monday. But we are still doing some work on the smart board!!! In science we are learning about magnets and we have a test on Friday but sadly
we didn't have school on Friday because a ice storm hit North Andover and we didn'thave power!!! So our test was scheduled for Monday
definetly!!! That means 3 extra days to study!!! In math we are learning about graphs! there are bar graphs, double bar graphs, and pie graphs!!!
that is all the graphs that we know right now!!! Mrs.Armstrongis talking about having a test on Friday the 19th!!! Inspelling we are on unit 13!!!
We are learning about compound words!!! Our test has been canceled i because of the storm and 2 the 4th grade teachers didn't really think all
of their information was true. In writing we are learning about different kinds of writing. We are all writing about descriptive paragraphs. we
could chose from 4 different prompts. 1 was about stepping into a candy store and finding your idea of heaven!!! Another was when we step
into an attis and seeing all of the prised pocestions!!! The 3rd one was about this creature staring at you when you are at the beach. Last but
not least was when you are at your Grandmothers house in your tree house wondering about what is behind all of the trees!!! This week was a
blast!!!
