Printfree.com - a great source for printing calendars, cards, etc. Students
can access a monthly blank 
calendar for logging independent reading at home.

Studyjams is a Scholastic site offered for a monthly charge; Fantastic for
reviewing math and science concepts - presents lessons clearly and in steps -
then offers practice problems, with answers. This site mirrors much of what we
study in fourth grade - VERY appropriate and kid friendly! I have used many of
the lessons in class as well.

This is a commercial site, but I found a great variety of interactive games
that would make your student's practice time more enjoyable. Extra practice
sheets to download, along with strategies for memorizing the times table which
I will be using in class - a great site, just watch for the sales pitches.

Math dictionary online for kids, providing definitions and examples of just
about any math concept we would even think of studying. Colorful,
kid-friendly, simply written, nice way to review basic math concepts.

A.plusmath.com is a website offering interactive activities providing practice
with addition and subtraction, our current unit of study. Students can
practice flashcards, use interactive games, or print out worksheets and
flashcards for practice away from the computer.

KidsGeo.com is a great kid friendly website that provides opportunities to
practice their geography skills in an interactive and interesting way.  This
game asks kids to help find "Hannah" who is lost, using latitude and longitude
coordinates.

This is a great website where you can find definitions, pictures, examples,
and a simple listing of characteristics of each landform.  A true one-stop shop!!

This website allows me to create a list of favorite bookmarks that are
accessible from any computer.  This means students from home can easily access
websites that I have previewed and chosen for their appropriate content - and
this is the website I will use with the students when we work with the rolling
labs in class.
