THANK YOU Great Oak families for a successful spring Scholastic Book Fair.
Because of your generous support and the help of our volunteers, the book fair
raised $1200 for the library and PAC, and many teachers were able to add to
their classroom libraries. PAC will use their share of the funds to subsidize
field trips and provide cultural enrichment activities for Great Oak students.
And, the library is saving up for a SMART Board.
Additionally, we participated in Scholastic’s “One for Books,” where funds
were raised for a good cause. We collected $25, which Mr. Fusco was able to
put towards books in support of Worm Week, and Scholastic matched the donation
giving 25 books to charity and the library earned an extra $25 in books.
Thanks for all of your anonymous donations and for helping to put books in the
hands of students in need!
