The Junior District Festival consists of five different ensembles:
Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Treble Chorus (for girls), and Male
Chorus (for boys). Students from the four western counties of Massachusetts
audition every year in December to participate in these groups. If accepted,
they perform challenging music under an acclaimed conductor at a gala concert
at the University of Massachusetts Fine Arts Center in March. It's a very high
honor to be accepted and is a great music making opportunity.
For the auditions, students are required to perform a solo piece for their
instrument, major and chromatic scales, and a short sight reading example.
The list of pieces and scales for the audition will be posted in room 101.

Any student interested in auditioning may get a copy of the audition
