What is an appropriate snack to send with my child?

We have lunch at 11:35 A.M. and snack time is generally after we
visit our specials. A small nut-free snack and/or juice box
should be just enough to energize your child until the end of the
school day. Also, it is usually helpful to have your child's
snack packed in a separate bag. This will help your child know
what is his or her snack, and what you want them to save for
lunch.

How does my child start his or her day?

Usually the children begin their day with "Wake-Up Work." Often
times there is a simple problem on the board for the students to
solve. This is also great opportunity to reinforce some
handwriting concepts and prompts previously taught.

Should I call the classroom ext. and the office when my child is absent?

Although our school policy is that you only need to call the
office when your child is out sick, I appreciate a quick message
on my voice mail stating your child is out for the day or is
going to be tardy. The school number is 508-429-0647 and my
extension is 2109. Please do not email/call me about
transportation changes because I may not get the message until
after school.

Do you have an email account you check regularly?

Yes, for non-transportation questions or concerns, I check my
email often. I have access to the school email system at home and
generally check this every evening when my own children are in
bed! It may take me a day or two to respond to you if you leave
a voice mail, but I should get back to you within a day if you
send me an email.
