I'm excited to begin another school year at Placentino!
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and hold a Master's
Degree in Special Education from the University of South Florida, Tampa. I
am certified both as a regular classroom teacher as well as a special
educator. I'm a former "Reading Recovery" teacher and received training
through Lesley College. I have been teaching for 22 years! How did that
happen so quickly?
I started my teaching career in Naples, FL and came to Holliston Schools in
1997. I have taught both half and full-day kindergarten programs in Florida
and in Holliston. I believe strongly in quality full-day kindergarten
programs for all children. It's exciting to watch the students transition
from kindergarten to first grade!
There are lots of standards in the First Grade curriculum. The mission for
the class is to have all students meet or exceed the standards and have fun
in the process!
