Story Telling
21st century learners don't hand in their work, they publish for an authentic audience!
Digital Story Telling
Digital Stories are a fantastic 21st century teaching tool. When they are included in a well designed 21st century lesson they require students to demonstrate several 21st century skills. What is even better, they are easy to create and the students love them!
Take a look at these examples students have created in
Holliston
. These stories were created in
Photostory 3
which is a free download. It's an easy to use, versatile program which is suitable for using with both elementary and high school students.
Digital stories are personal, evoke a sense of emotion and are informal, they are about the narrator who makes a personal connection with the audience. They are very different to a PowerPoint presentation.
Digital stories offer creative and imaginative teachers a wonderful opportunity to truly incorporate 21st century skills into the classroom.
