7th Grade Mathematics Expectations
Welcome
to 7th grade math class!
I
am looking forward to a productive and enjoyable year with all of you.
Here
is what you need to know to be successful this year:
You
must RESPECT your team members, LISTEN carefully and actively, and WORK HARD,
giving your BEST EFFORT.
Behavioral
Expectations
Team
members will be appropriate, respectful, and mindful of classroom rules at all
times. Students
are expected to remain seated during class, to raise their hands, and to use
appropriate language at all times. There
will be zero tolerance for teasing, unkind words, cheating and disrespectful
behavior towards teachers or one another.
If
there is a problem, my door is always open.
Academic
Expectations
Grades
will be based upon tests, quizzes, projects, class work, warm-ups, and
homework. In
order to successfully complete this year’s mathematics course, each student
must complete all of these components.
For
class work and homework assignments, all work must be shown clearly.
Class

team members are expected to be on time and prepared for class.
This
means students come to class with all necessary materials including completed
homework, which is due at the start of class.
