Homework

We have homework each week. Reading at home is an important part of your
child's homework. This might be a parent reading to a child, a shared
reading time, or a child reading independently. Please adjust to your
child's ability and remember to keep it enjoyable.

Written homework is usually given on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings
and is due the next day. Children receive an award when homework is brought
in on time. Homework may take up to 20 minutes but children have different
abilities. If your child is struggling or taking much longer with homework,
please stop at any point and let me know.

Math in My World booklets provide an opportunity for children see math in
their daily lives and to think about math in creative ways. You can help
your children by taking advantage of your everyday situations to teach about
number concepts and problem solving. Thank you for your support with this
program and please send the booklets back to school every week.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about homework.
Email is a good way to communicate quickly.
