Parents - Send me your email address and I will add you the the class list.
Progress reports are sent home with students approx. every 2
weeks. If you are not getting them please send me your email and I will send
them to you directly. Also, Send me an email and I will put you on your
child's class email list for grammar tips, vocabulary, video links and much
more!
Students- If you can set up a Quizlet.com account prior
to the first day of class it would be very helpful!
Quizlet.com: Create a vocabulary list, generate a test and quizlet will
follow your progress and focus on what you need to know rather than what you
already know.
Extra - La Telenovela has beed added so you can watch the story at home.
Having trouble understanding? Watch it a second time or watch it in English
(ESL Links have the same telenovela in English with different actors but the
same set and dialogue)
Also, under the Spanish Links tab there are several very uselful links (#3,
#6, #18 and #21) that will bring you to sites where you can practice your
Spanish. These sites are based on your textbook. Link #21 has many self-
tests, games and reviews. Take advantage of this great site !!
Students also need to download and install iTunes on their home computers in
order to take advantage of Spanish Podcasts. iTunes is available at
www.apple.com. An online account at connotea will also be used for
collecting collaborative online resources. Both the use of iTunes and
quizlet will be explained in class.

It is my mission as a World Language teacher at Holliston High School
to promote the use of student-centered, task-oriented learning environments
where inquiry, problem-solving, thematic and cross-content links are
featured side by side with the analysis of language systems. Through this
study, students will gain an appreciation for cultural diversity and the
inspiration to become better world citizens.
