I have been teaching in Holliston for twenty-one years. Time
flies when you're having fun. I have taught every grade except eighth.
At this time, I have taught English 9, English 10, World Literature, AP
English Literature, American Novels, and Essay Writing.
In addition, I teach a course for the virtual high school
(http://www.govhs.org). Room 302 is the best room in the school, looking
out onto the courtyard and across from one of the computer labs. I am in
heaven! Some days, we think that we are in a tropical rainforest.
My family consists of a husband, four sons, a daughter-in-law, and a
grandson. My home in Mendon is almost three hundred years old with several
friendly ghosts in residence. My interests include reading, of course,
music,
antiques, sports and gardening. I feel very fortunate with my
family and my teaching. I enjoy meeting new students each year, and if I am
lucky enough, having former students in another class.
A major goal for my students and myself is to set high expectations for
ourselves. I want to create a classroom where everyone feels important and
welcome. We are a mini community within the larger school community, working
together each day to learn more, not only about the curriculum, but, more
importantly, about ourselves.
