Podcasts are a unique way for students to demonstrate knowledge and express their "voice".
Second semester students in Online Technologies researched Endangered Animals. Using Google Docs to collaborate, team members divided the research and added their notes to one common notes summary. Then, teams wrote a script for their podcast keeping in mind that as they were informing, they must be performing. They did a fabulous job!
We used Apple's GarageBand© software to create our podcasts. Students experimented with voice/pitch, using background music, matching text to images, and special effects.
