Continue the writing process for your body paragraphs. You should spend about
40 minutes working on this assignment tonight. All 3 body paragraphs need to
be finished by the end of class tomorrow. Tomorrow we will discuss
introductions + conclusions, as well as how to make a title page and paginate
your pages. The final paper is due Thursday, Feb 16th... no exceptions!

Continue the writing process for your body paragraphs. Do you have enough
information to support each research question? If not, you may need to go
back through the research cycle and gather more sources, do a little more
reading and writing...You should spend 30-40 minutes working on this
assignment tonight. Remember, all 3 body paragraphs need to be finished by
the end of class on Friday. Over the weekend you will compose an introduction
and conclusion...Monday + Tuesday you will be typing in the computer lab

EVERYONE:
Spend 45 minutes taking notes from your sources this weeekend. All your
research questions should be answered from a variety of sources, by the time
you come to class on Monday.
Make a Works Cited Page according to the instruction given today and the
samples you have in the research binder (chapter 10). This is due Monday and
is worth 50 points. If you were absent today, you will be given until Tuesday
to make your WC page...time is of the essence and this needs to get done so
they can be graded and returned to you in a timely manner. Email me if you

ALL CLASSES: Today in class you began to take notes on note cards and color-
coordinated your colored note cards to the source cards, with the focus on
one research question. Tonight: using another research question, find the
answer to that question with at least 3 of your sources paraphrase or bullet
your notes on note cards from each source. Your end-of-week-goal is to have
all questions answered by several of your sources. Make sure the note-card
set-up is done correctly!

Homework for January 30, 2012
ALL CLASSES: spent time in the computer lab today, getting some additional
sources to answer their research questions. Mrs. Osborne checked student
books as well as the set-up of the source cards. Towards the end of class,
students began skimming their articles for answers to one of their research
questions. Tonight's HW is to do some more skimming - do not begin taking
notes on note cards yet. We will begin that process on Wednesday, together in
class. Everyone should pleasure read 30 minutes and do the logs.
