The PTO provides teacher "grant" funds used to buy needed and wanted supplies, materials or equipment for the classroom or school. The PTO also provides "grants" to community groups that directly help LSS students. Such as:

• Cyberbullying Night
• Book Case in Foyer
• Child Trauma Kit
• Books and periodicals for the school library

 The PTO also subsidizes field trips for all grades.

There are also many ENRICHMENT programs that the PTO sponsors. These are scheduled for all grades throughout the academic year. Such as:

• Incoming Kindergarten Puppet Show
• Wooden Toy & Craft for Kindergarten
• Observing Air & Flight (1st grade)
• Fossils & Dinosaurs (2nd grade)
• Electromagnetism (3rd grade)
• Rocks & Minerals Discovery (4th grade)
• Starlab (5th grade)
