I thought I’d take a moment to give you some information about myself, your
child’s teacher.
This is my 9th year teaching first and second grades. I’ve had the
opportunity to “loop” with one class, teaching the same group of students for
first and second grades. It was a terrific experience to work with a group of
students and families over a two-year period. I have deep affection for first
grade. Supporting young learners as they explore with keen curiosity and
develop as individuals is a unique and significantly meaningful role.
I hold a B.S. in Elementary Education from Boston University. I have also
graduated from Simmons College with a M.S., also in Elementary Education.
Professionally, I am interested in character education and social skills
curricula, as well as differentiating instruction for diverse learners. I am
also passionate about teaching children to read. I greatly enjoy
collaborating with other professionals and presenting at teacher conferences.
Foremost, I enjoy learning from your children every day!
Personally, I enjoy many activities like baking goodies for my friends and
family, crafts like jewelry making, ballroom dancing, skiing, and spending
time outdoors.

I believe that all children learn in different ways. By sharing with me
information about your child's personality, study habits, likes and dislikes
we can work together to contribute to his/her acquiring new knowledge and
improving academic skills.
