Welcome Back!

PHYSICAL EDUCATION:
September
We will be going over contracts and giving out locks.  Students should be gathering proper PE attire for gym class.  The contract is on the PE-Wellness page if you need to refer to it. All students are required to return a signed PE contract.
Be prepared to go outside.  That means extra socks in case your feet get wet and a sweatshirt.
We will be starting off with some group games and then going into a Track and Field Unit.

October
All grade levels have been involved in a Track and Field Unit.  Students have been introduced to a variety of track skills, have been placed on teams, and are competing in a track meet.  We have also been training for the mile run which will take place the week of October 17th, weather permitting. 

As the weather gets cooler, please remind your child to bring sweatpants and a sweatshirt. 

Progress reports are being given out the week of October 11th. They need to be signed and returned. Thanks!

7TH GRADE HEALTH

Starting off with Module 1: Circle of Wellness. This includes topics on common courtesy, hygiene, skin health, nutrition, exercise, eating disorders, positive image, self-esteem, stress, time management and depression.

  • 10/12  My Pyramid Project  (assignment will be due 10/19- It is worth a test grade!!)

-Students are reminded to bring their health workbook to class.  You loose a point for everyday you forget your workbook.


8TH GRADE HEALTH
Starting off with Module 1: SAFE which covers CPR and First Aid. 

  • 10/14    National Safety Council CPR Test
  • 10/14    Collecting Workbooks (Self-Assessments should be complete)
  • 10/14    Progress reports will be given out. Must be signed and returned.
